Welcome to MetaOdyssey Coaching,

If you’re reading this right now you are either curious or ready to expand Presence, Power and Purpose in your professional life. Plus you might want to know a little about me.

I’ve been in the acting and singing business for quite some time now and when everything aligns it can be truly magical.  Being a part of a team that creates art can be awesome.  What can be grueling are the numerous auditions aka job interviews.  One job one could mean a hundred auditions.  Plus back in the days when it was all in person interviews, you just never knew what you would walk into.  Regardless, you had to come in and be professional and stay focused for your minute or two to take the stage.

Which brings me to the idea of ‘Taking Center Stage’.  A common misnomer is that standing up in front of people just comes naturally for some and that it’s a skill you either have or don’t.  Nope.  I’m here to tell you that this thought is not true.

For some, getting up in front of people is easy. They don’t have hesitation, self-consciousness or fear.  And what do I have to say about those people….’Awesome.  You do you, you were given a gift.  Keep on and carry on.’  But for me, that was not the case.

For example, one of my early performance memories is when I was given a saxophone solo in band.  I was freaked out.

Up until that moment, being singled out meant being made fun of.  By the popular girls.  So naturally, I tried to not draw any more attention to myself.  So when the band director wanted me to stand up and do my solo….I still remember my knees shaking so badly that it nearly took my breath away.  By some act of God, I managed to stay standing and remain focused enough to complete my solo. I survived.  Despite thinking I was having a heart attack.

Oddly, that experience didn’t deter me and many twists and turns later I have been fortunate to train and have had very awesome teachers, mentors and coaches along the way.  They have given me a plethora of tools and taught me various lessons.

And then life threw some curve-balls.  I found people coming to me from various professions struggling with Imposter Syndrome (despite prior success) struggling with getting out there and making their voices be heard, struggling to take center stage. People would just open up and confide in me of their professional struggles. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was becoming a coach.  Then after being repeatedly hit over the head, by fate, I accepted that this also was a part of my calling. So, I went to get training from a school that trains coaches.  So, here I am.

Currently, professionals are being asked to do things that their education hasn’t prepared them for.  Countless job interviews, public speaking, pitching ideas, collaborating with difficult people and dare I say being more visible online, on camera or on Zoom.

The advantage is that you can benefit from my experience. I’ve spent the money and the years putting my butt on the line, and now I want to help those who are tired of struggling and who are wishing to take Center Stage with their careers and lives.

Don’t let your narrative aka mental chatter hinder you from achieving your goals and dreams.  Together we will work to help you find your unique Power, Presence and Purpose.
