Terms & Conditions | Code of Conduct
1. The Coaching Relationship
The Client understands that coaching is a partnership. While the Coach provides expertise in communication strategies, the Client is solely responsible for implementing the techniques and achieving results. Coaching is not a substitute for legal, mental health, or professional medical advice.
2. Services and Payment
Fees: All fees are due in full [at the time of booking / via monthly retainer] unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late Payments: Payments delayed by more than 15 days may result in a suspension of services.
Refunds: [e.g., Fees are non-refundable once a session has commenced, or "Refunds are available if requested 7 days prior to the first session."]
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- I value your time and ask that you value mine.
- 36-Hour Rule: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 36 hours in advance.
- Late Cancellations: Requests made with less than 36 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of that session fee.
- No-Shows: If a client is more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session is considered canceled and non-refundable.
4. Confidentiality
The Coach agrees to keep all Client information, business strategies, and personal discussions strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.
Note: Confidentiality does not extend to the intent to harm oneself or others.
5. Intellectual Property
All materials provided during coaching—including worksheets, slide decks, scripts, and proprietary frameworks—are for the Client’s individual use only. You may not record sessions, redistribute, or resell these materials without express written consent as these materials are the property of MetaOdyssey Coaching LLC.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Coach’s total liability for any claims arising out of the coaching relationship shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the services provided. The Coach is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time with 30 days' written notice (via email). Upon termination, any outstanding fees for work already performed become immediately due.

Code of Conduct: Our Shared Commitment
To ensure the best possible outcomes for our coaching relationship, both the Coach and the Client agree to uphold the following standards of behavior and engagement:
1. Radical Candor & Respect
Openness: Effective communication coaching requires honesty. We agree to provide and receive feedback that is direct, actionable, and aimed at growth.
Professionalism: While we may discuss personal hurdles, our interactions will remain professional. Harassment, discriminatory language, or abusive behavior will result in the immediate termination of services without a refund.
2. Full Presence (The "Device Policy")
To maximize the value of our time, both parties agree to:
- Be present and punctual for all scheduled sessions.
- Minimize distractions by silencing non-essential notifications.
- Refrain from "multi-tasking" (emails, texting, or driving) during sessions to ensure deep focus on the communication work at hand.
3. Preparation and Engagement
Coaching is an active process, not a passive one.
The Client agrees to complete "between-session" assignments or exercises to the best of their ability.
The Coach agrees to arrive prepared with the necessary tools, frameworks, and feedback tailored to the Client’s specific goals.
4. Psychological Safety
We agree to create a "brave space" where the Client feels comfortable practicing new styles of speaking, making mistakes, and iterating on their communication style without judgment. What happens in practice stays in practice.
5. Conflict Resolution
Should a disagreement arise regarding the coaching direction or feedback provided:
- We agree to address the issue directly and professionally via a scheduled call or email.
- We will seek a solution that prioritizes the Client’s professional growth while respecting the Coach’s methodology.
